Different water treatments available for controlling limescale

Limescale is a common problem for people living in hard water areas. Hardwater is a water that contains a high constituent of minerals, like magnesium  and calcium. When  boil this type of water, the magnesium and calcium ion get separated from the water molecule and form a whitish, hard and chalky deposit on the surface of the container, which is known as limescale.

Limsescale do not have an bad effects on health, but it forms on the surface of home  heating appliances such as kettle, coffee machine, boilers, which increase the time it takes to heat the water, resulting increase in electricity bills.
